Yes the onboard graphics (D945GCLF2) are awful so what replacement would you recommend:

PNY Verto GeForce 6 6200 PCI (128MB)
Sapphire RADEON 9250 128 MB

How would you think they fair with blu-ray and DivX or would that be still limited with the processor?

Any other suggestions are welcome, I tried to find the 8600GS (PCI Edition) but no one has it in stock in UK or even on Ebay. :/

Thanks in advance,

James

If you need PCI and h.264 capabilities, the Radeon 2400HD is going to be your best bet.

I've been looking for a few weeks now and it is what I can come up with that is low power, small enough and creates the least amount of heat to put in a Shuttle k45 to get a DVI out for bluray playing.

The Atom 330 paired with the Radeon 2400H will be enough for Bluray playback.

I have a pci 8400 if you are interested. It caused kernal panics in ubuntu but supposedly bios update fixes that.

To add a little something. The Geforce 6200 and the Radeon 9250 have no support for Bluray decoding or even HD decoding.
