Graphics Card Problem?

I've noticed that for the last few weeks, that on occassion the desktop icons will blink on and off several times, while the wallpaper and taskbar seem uneffected. I thought that it was a sign that the video card was going bad, but when I used another card, for a short while, the problem continued the same, therefore I don't know how I should consider this. I can live with it, if it isn't an omen of something worse...is it?
 
I think that you have something ( program ) calling for an icon refresh. Nothing to worry about. If there is an explorer crash it will restart all on its own also but when that happens you loose the taskbar and all until it restarts.
