Graphics card for Viewsonic VX2433wm- Full 1080p Full HD

Just bought a 24 inch Viewsonic. Using an analog input cable for now with my old ATI 128 Meg video card., Monitor has DVI-D And HTMI outputs. Also., recommendations on best of breed for the HTMI cable.

I use the PC now for Internet, e-mail, Office 2007,etc. But would like to maybe get into gaming. There may be other uses I am unaware of but would like to know.

Need a recommendation for a video card with all three inputs that will utlize the capabilities of the monitor. Price is a consideration BUT performance and reliability are the keys to my decision.

Would appreciate any help.

It really depends on your needs but 4850, 4870, GTS 250, GTX 260 would satisfy that monitor.
