I have a 25.?" Monitor. It is a TN panel with a 5ms Response time. What Video Card would be appropriate to run all games at the full 1920x1200 Resolution with some of the eye candy and a minimum of freezes?

Thanks.

HD4870 1GB or GTX260 would be good solutions, although you could spend more for an HD4890, GTX275, GTX285, HD4870 X2, or GTX295. If you're upgrading from the 8800GTX, the HD4890 or GTX275 would probably be the best choices.

I just got a 25" LCD and an HD4890 a month or so back. It's quite a card for ~150 or less with cashback and rebates these days. It can't max games like Crysis and Stalker: CS at that res, well if you are picky about low framerates like me anyway. It does play with most of the eye candy on at decent frames though, and for the price you can't be disappointed. Most other games you can max easily. Anandtech had a write up a little while back and listed it as the best card for the combined money/performance factors. You probably wouldn't be here asking what's best to get if money was no concern. The lower priced cards would be ok too, but at 19x12 you'll probably be looking for an upgrade a lot sooner.
