In the process of putting together a new system: so far have:
mobo: msi k8n neo4 platinum
CPU: amd 64 3000+
memory: 512 x 2 crucial
case: textorm 400w

now am looking for a graphics card:
considering the sapphire radeon x600 xt ; question is is it worth the extra 40-50 bucks to go with the 256mb over the 128mb. i'm not what you would consider a hardcore gamer- but don't want to be limited to what games i can play either.

any suggestions.
thanks
remy

You can see what kind of difference it makes in the X600pro here (basically nothing)

What's your budget you're working with here?

What games are you going to be playing?

EDIT: I think you'd be better served by a 6600 in that pricerange actually. If you can bump it up to $180-ish, 6600gt is very good.

Oh, and I'm kind of concerned about this "textorm" case with powersupply. Generic powersupplies can be the downfall of an otherwise good system. Have you thought about getting a case/powersupply from antec for example?

You would be better serverd to spend the extra $ on a 6600GT or a X700Pro if you wish to stay with ATI
