I am thinking about upgrading to a little bit better card, I play mainly 3D games like Quake II, Un real Tournamnet. I am running Windows 2K professional if that help any. I have have found two offers on better video cards and was hoping someone here could help me a little more, Last time I posted in the video forum it didn't get much assistance.

Hercules 3D Prophet II PRO - $200, might could get a little cheaper.

Both cards have been used minimally, I was just wondering which one would be the best deal. If you can find a card that is a better deal for the $150 price range feel free to post it, or if you cna find any of these cards cheaper somewhere else.

I am getting around 2200 3D marks also if that helps.
 
IMHO since both boards use the same Geforce Reference Design get the cheapest.... I have a Herc GF2 GTS 64meg, and I really don't think you will see any difference in either...

hell yes. the mx and sdram absolutely blows (imo anyway). it's a shame to have such a killer rig and have that vid card as a bottle neck. definately get the winfast one. the hercules one should be the same pretty much, but most likely not worth the extra money. you can get an ultra for a little over 200$ i think (212+shipping?) if you wanted to go that route. or geforce 3 for 300$ but that's double the winfast. i hope im not just speaking out of my hiney, but those pro cards should definately be a big improvement (at resolutions 1024x768+).
 
OK well the 3D prophet will come with a few extras like gmaes etc form the guy. I might could get ti for 175 wiht otu them, I was hoping for a better response than this thoguh 🙁 I need to know ASAP

here i just grabbed an mx one, not your card but you said you didnt have a lot of time. just look at the higher res (>800x600) for the asus v7100 and the gts and ultra. almost double the framerate. you'll be hitting in between the gts and the ultra, probably a little closer the the gts. that's just a review of an mx anand did last year. ill see if i can find the ones you are talking about in particular.
