Graphical Glitches/Artifacts Help!

Ive been expirencing problems with graphical glitches in the last few weeks i get large cylindrical or triangular shapes coming out of objects such as tanks,walls and other objects images also get smeared across the screen. for example tree brances sometimes get streched and go halfway across the skyline

Its not like it happens just in the newest most demanding games Red Orchestra also has some major problems with graphical glitches

Firstly i assumed this is probably a heat issue, however My Nvidia 7900gs only reaches the mid 60 degrees celcius when under load, this is in the green area according to my tempreture manager

So therfore i assumed it was a driver issue, i firstly rolled back my driver using the windows driver utility without sucess then tried an old driver from 2006 which didnt help either

Now im consdering a reformat of the whole Hard drive but will this help?

Ive also been expirencing problems in battlefield 2 where randomly the game freezes Im not sure that this is a problem related to the same issue and im going to reintall the game tommrow when i have some time on my hands

I dont have a clue if the problem is software or hardware maybe you guys can help identify the problem
