graphic problems with Warhammer 40k, DoW

hey guys,

I just purchased Warhammer 40k Dawn of War off of Steam on my laptop, and after launching, I'm getting corrupted text in game. here's a screenshot of the main menu to show it:

I've played the graphics settings and can't seem to find anything that would be causing this. anyone experienced this problem before?


My system specs are:
Pentium M 1.8 Ghz
1.5 GB ram (came with laptop)
ATi X600 mobility (catalyst 7.8 drivers)
Windows Vista Home Prem.

the same problem occurs when I launch the expansion, Winter Assult. All other games that i play on this system (WoW, CS Source) are well behaved and have no issues.
 
Try different resolutions and refresh rates. Try a different (newer or perhaps older, but official and non-beta) Catalyst driver. If nothing works I highly recommend you visit the official forums and ask for help (it might be Vista-related).
