Hi All,
After I upgraded this the card, reformat my comp, install latest driver. I got display problem like screen scrambled occasionally when running any 3d games like Devil may cray 4 or The last remnant.

If I decrease quality to low, the scrambled problems occur less frequent.

According to motherboard website, the board does not support PCI express 2. Could anybody confirm this could cause problem ? Do any of you have similar problem before ?

Here is my motherboard ASrock 775 DUAL VSTA
memory 2gb, pentium-d 2.8

Best Regards,

Jon

I have that motherboard, and it defiantely has it's quirks. The PCI Express slot runs ar 4X speed (as opposed to 16X speed) is I remember correctly, and it's definately PCI Express 1.0. The fastest graphics cards I've installed in mine was a Radeon X850, which seemed to run fine. You might want to check to see if there are any Bios updates available. Then the next option would be to try the graphics card in another computer, if possible.

Also, what power supply do you have?

Here is the offical graphics card support list for that board:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/vga.asp?c=&Model=775Dual-VSTA

I don't see any Radeon HD3XXX or HD4XXX cards. They do list the NVidia 8800GTX. The list may be old, though...

Did some more searching, and there seem to be quite a few people having trouble with that motherboard, and the HD4850...
