Hey all
Have a problem with Battlefield 2142 today. I haven't played this game for over a year and recently had the urge to try it again. Just upgraded to a 9800gt video card and wanted to see the performance improvement. My version was bought online threw EA's download manager, stupid move I know but at the time I didn't want to wait for a boxed copy.
Well I downloaded the game, patch, and expansion. I installed the game, patched to 1.5, installed the expansion, patched again to 1.5 as usual. I start her up and turn graphics to high and enable AA. I go into a game and there's some sort of texture glitching all over the screen. I troubleshooted all evening, reinstalled nvidia drivers, reinstalled the game, re patched it, tried different settings and resolutions. FINALY came to the conclusion that when I turn AA on in game I get these graphical errors. I have never had this problem with bf2142 and I have run crysis, company of heroes, and far cry 2 on this pc since I upgraded my graphics and all have run fine with no such errors with AA enabled. Certainly Crysis is more graphically intensive than battlfield 2142 and yet no problems what so ever in that.
Any ideas? I also upgraded my monitor from CRT to 22inch widescreen LCD. I would be tickled pink if someone could find an answer for me, I already googled and the only texture problems i could find were associated with PSU problems which I'm not having.
