Graphic Communications... hmmm... =D

So what should I do my graphic communications report on? I was thinking of talking about the history of the sponsors and how they displayed their name/logo on sports cars. F1, CART, NASCAR etc. It'd be interesting to see what goes behind all that logo plastering chaos. And that new technology of putting ad's in the hubcap of the wheel would be cool to talk about. What do you guys think? Have any links for me?

Then there's also those emoticons. Would be cool to talk about the Internet and how that has changed text-based communications... all the acronyms that have become second nature to us...

Any other interesting ideas I should consider?

Actually, I'm an architecture major and this graphic communications class is offered by the business school. I'm just taking this class for fun because the topic interests me. Haven't you ever wondered what captivates us in this superficial society of walking billboards and corporate branding?
