Graphic card not working?

Well, here is the problem:

Just bought a new computer in parts, and put it all together.

When i fired up the system, the asus motherboard told me that the vga test failed. The strange thing is that the graphic card fan is moving. I´ve got experience in building computers, but not with PCI-X

Is the card broken, or have i forgot something vital?

Mobo: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Graphics: Sparkle 6600 Gt

Please excuse my english, im from sweden.

Thanks for any help!

Start with the easy stuff. Reseat the card etc. Doesn't it reqiure a 4 pin molex power connector to the card? If so, make sure it's in there.

Could also double check that the power connector is actually supplying juice. Hook it up to a case fan and make sure it spins when you try to boot.

Once had a brand new PSU with half the molex power connectors DOA (dead on arrival). Spent a couple of hours troubleshooting that :|

Also could try another vid card in your mobo, and your vid card in another mobo.

What PSU do you have?

BTW: It's PCI-e, not PCI-X

The bastards at Asus had printed the sli-turner(?) wrong, so it said single card when it was at double. No wonder it wasn't working!!
