Graphic card dimensions

With few exceptions, graphic card manufacturers web sites make it difficult and in some cases make it a point not to list their graphic card physical dimensions. I'm looking to purchase a new graphic card, and want to make sure it will fit my case. Newegg graphic card specification tab does not show any physical dimensions of the cards they sell. Why? "Sapphire's" web site does not list dimensions for their 4850x2-2g, 4870x2-2g cards. Why? And, last but not least, AnandTech reviews seem to be remiss in this also. Perhaps this 74 year old geek is getting so old he is unable to see the forest from the trees? It would be nice if reviewers and sellers would list physical dimensions. Most graphic card buyers are builders. Physical dimension knowledge is as important as comparative evaluation.

Respectfully,

I just called Sapphire (sales) and they did give me the dimensions (12" long). He also said they have had many complaints concerning lack of this information on their website.

I've always found this annoying as well. You can try to ballpark it depending on the photos provided, though, since the length of the PCIe connector is about 9cm.

Yeah, it seriously is a little troubling to not know the actual dimensions of a card.
