Graph of RPM vs dB(A)?

I'm trying to work out the optimum speed for a fan to be put on my next CPU cooler. I want to see what the curve looks like to try and work out what speed fan to get. Thanks.

Fan's of the same RPM don't necessarily put out the same volume of noise, and the frequency of the sounds can also be a large determinate as to how noticeable it is, and that can also vary considerably between various fans of the same rated RPM

I just want a graph of the same fan at different speeds to get an idea of what the relationship between speed and noise is on a single fan. Just so I have an idea of how much of an impact it does play. I may just buy a sound pressure meter my self and stick a fan in a HDD shipping box with the fan attached to a variable resistor. Will be trick to work out RPM of the fan though. Is the RPM of the fan directly proportional to the voltage applied?
