GranTurismo 3 A spec out today? anyone get it yet?

is it supposed to come out today? or is it tomarrow?

for anyone who got it, is it worth the cost of PS2? i mean i dont see any game worthwhile to get PS2 for except for GT3.

i am considering getting one from buy.com for $300 with the game.. hmmmm

but if someone has it, does it have something over GT2? or is it mostly just graphics?

too bad i cant find a store that has demo where i can see/play it.

I believe the official release date is 7-11 alhough on ebgames.com, it says it will ship today.

I am planning to buy this bundle. I test drove it at E3. Fantastic wheel.

I played it at a store the other day and have to say the graphics are good but the controls are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. They cars handle so bad it aint even funny.

hmm? did u play thru (passing the game) GT1 or 2?

if u did u'll know that cars handle very differntly with stock tires and shock..
u wont be able to drive it like other racin games..

Only some stores will be getting it today. The Software Etc. (where I work) at our local mall is getting them tonight VIA hand delivery by district managers while the Electronics Boutique will not get them untill tomorrow. Moral of the story: shop at Software, Etc.

believe it or not, i prefer GT's control over most of other game's controls. for example, with all the controls of Ridge Racer series i had really hard time controling the cars.
but in GT (more refined in GT2) the controls are expected and much more manageable to me. maybe it has to do with all the settings you can change to fit your style?

i like FR cars most and my fav cars in GT2 probably would be, Viper (any one of racing versions), GT40 (HOW CAN U NOT LOVE IT?!) and Mustang.. (dotn know why but i like it).

I played the demo in E3 before and can't controll the Mustang well.It's not the game to be blame and I believe I'll get up to it when I play it more.Maybe should try 4wd car like Evo coz 4wd car handling is much better than FR car.I'll be patient and hunt for it after 12th......

GT has drag racing. It is in the testing area. You can do a 1/4 mile I believe. Maybe it is a 1000m. At any rate all you have to do is compare times. Really not all that bad.
For all things GT1/2/3
This site is good, privately ran, no Sony or anything. Beware though. I went there one summer and never left the house...

Well, if you don't mind waiting a few years I'm sure it will happen.
Heck, you can even play GT2 on the Dreamcast if you want (via a Bleem
thingamagig).
