4 cups old-fashioned oats (not the "quick cooking" kind)
1/2 cup silvered almonds
1 cup (or more) pecans (rough chop)

1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tbl honey
1/3 cup peanut butter

Warm the liquid ingredients in the microwave - its easier to mix in with the oats and nuts.

Mix, bake at 325 until light brown, usually 10-15 minutes, depending on the oven.

Cool - then mix in 1/2 package raisins and 1/2 package dried cranberries - or whatever mixed fruit you likey.

I got this from a colleague at work. Its delicious and cheap!

huh....I usually get the bulk granola from Whole Foods at like $3/lb. I would take out the nuts (don't like them in granola), and maybe put in some puffed rice or something. dried fruit FTW!

interesting that there's peanut butter in there ... how does it taste with it in there? It wouldn't be something I expect in there.
