A health care worker was arrested and charged Tuesday in the rape of a 90-year-old woman inside a Leesburg nursing home, police told Local 6 News.

Police in Leesburg, Fla., arrested Dennis Hartley, an employee at the Lake Harris Health Center for sexual battery.

An employee at the facility told police that she walked into a room and found Hartley in a "compromising position" with the 90-year-old. The worker said Hartley appeared to be having sex with her.

Police said the woman required assistance with all physical activities and was not able to move.

"She was definitely in this health care facility for care," Leesburg police Capt. Steve Rockefeller said. "She was needing other people to care for her basic needs and obviously she did not get that in this case."

The administrator at Lake Harris Health Center said they are conducting an internal investigation.

Hartly was immediately asked to leave the center and never return, according to the administrator.
