Granite Bay Mobo\DDR 2100 RAM - 2 sticks or 3?

Hi, I am awaiting my new Gigabyte mobo (GB brd) and I did not think about this until a day or two after my order for the RAM (PC2100 sticks). To maximize the ability of the DDR I learned that i should go in pairs to max out the RAM & brds ability. Well having a brain lapse I guess.lol.... I ordered 3 sticks of 2100 ddr because the brd has only 3 slots and i wanted to max it out for my budget. I ordered 3 sticks of 256 but my question is am I still going to be using the brd & RAMS potential since it needs to run in pairs to take advantage of the Granite Bay technology? Do I need to just use the 2 sticks and not install the 3rd? Thanks for the help!

Granite Bay boards require RAM in pairs, so either 2 DIMMs or 4 DIMMs.

If you are going to carry your current 3 DIMMs across to the Granite Bay board, then you will either have to use just 2 of the 3 DIMMs, or buy one more DIMM to make the 2nd pair.
