Grandma get tased.....

Uh, if the cop couldn't handle a 5 foot grandma without a taser he should be in another line of work.

uh....I am sure he could have...so could you, so could I but could any one of us to do it without causing her physical injury such as a broken arm or wrist or cause injury to ourselves?

See, she clearly pulled away from him and was resisting arrest, if she was in a drunken state (which is likely) she very easily could have got out into traffic in her attempt to flee from him which would result in her injury or death, the death of the person who hits her @ 50-60 MPH and death or injury to the arresting officer.

But your right techs, that is all out weighed by the fact he should not have tased her....it was not "fair".
 
This is one of those cases I have to disagree on...you saw how easy the cop pushed her back...all he had to do what put her in cuffs...which looking at her size compared to hers that would have been done EASILY...I mean, in my eyes, theres no if and or buts about that...

This cops in all ways is simply a pussy.

IMHO, the cop action is needless because he is the one that escalated the incident. What happens to be kind & polite, specially to the elderly?

If tasers were just used as a less-lethal alternative to guns, no one (practically) would have a problem with them.

Instead cops use them as an extra-judicial means of punishing those who 'disrespect my authoritah'.

Since they can't control themselves, they're going to get their toys taken away from them.

Grandma should get tasered more than anyone, likely her bones are brittle and if he strong arms her, he could end up fracturing her to pieces and open his dept. to lawsuits. Grandmas all over will be lining up to cause trouble on purpose to get some dough.
 
Old lady deserved it. I mean, who knows what transpired beforehand but to me it looks like she was uncooperative. Perhaps she felt that she was older that she could get away with whatever she wanted.
 
I laughed, something about watching people get tased that always makes me laugh lol.

I can't blame the cop nowadays. Too many ways they can be harmed, they are looking out for their lives as well, can't blame them for trying to resolve a situation in the least harmful safe manor for them as well.

It's much less painful to be restrained. Tasers should be used for when the person cannot be restrained.

You got that backwards, falling to the ground while unable to control your muscles is FAR more likely to result in broken bones, especially hips.

More seriously, it can result in head injuries when the skull smacks the pavement. Cops are trained to be able to safely restrain people and have done so for hundreds of years without tasers.

Lawsuits happen over tasers all the time...apparantly can even cause heart attacks in elderly:\

Usually I agree with the cop, but in this case, I completely agree with the above post.

The old lady was a pushover for this guy, it would have been very easy to just push her against the car and cuff her. If you are a cop and you think there's a chance she could hurt you while you're cuffing her, you are a pussy.

Yes, the old lady was belligerent and she was wrong, but tasing is way too strong a method in this case.

Officer was clearly within his rights, his life was in danger and he took necessary force. You liberal cop haters make me sick this world is so dangerous she was probably a mexican drug trafficker who gutted a white woman and wore her body as a disguise. The cop should have shot her, because I blindly defend police actions regardless of context.

I'm all for tasing someone if they can't follow simple instructions. You don't get special treatment because of your age.
 
If you resist arrest that should be grounds for an automatic tazing. People in America are to fucking sensitive to shit these days. That's why our kids are out of control, that's why criminals are out of control, that's why our country is out of control. There is no discipline anymore. People think they can do whatever the fuck they want, and goddamn anyone who tries to stop them. Well, it's time for that shit to stop, and having mandatory tazings for people doing stupid shit is a good way to start. Everyone knows this.
