New trailer has been released here:

Youtube mirror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkkoHAzjnUs

Here's what we can gather from the video:

  • Will be set at least in Los Santos, possibly all of San Andreas
  • Dogs/animals are in game
  • A huge-looking mountain
  • Biplanes/jets
  • Jet skis? (name of the Jetski? Speeophile 2000)
  • At least one area of town will be "Little Seoul" 🙂32)
  • At different points in the trailer there are what looks like different people driving cars. At first I thought it was a sign that the ability to control your whole appearance is back, but when I look closer it almost seems like you would be controlling a different character

Also, next October will be the 10th anniversary of Vice City. Just a note.

Is that another GTA based in California? I was hoping for something like Detroit, but I guess CA allows them to show off mountains, ocean and suburban and urban landscapes.

Too bad that the PC version won't come out until like a year after the console version is released.

This game may force me to get a PS3.

exactly...who wants drive by miles of dilapadated housing only to reach the algae blooms of Lake Erie???

Wow those graphics look absolutely awful. Like, worse than GTA IV, and frankly that game is ageing compared with some current gen titles. How underwhelming.

yup i thought the same about the graphics...not necessarily worse, but no better than before.

should have saved it for the next gen

but then again

gta4 was one of the only few games this console generation i fully played and beat (took me 1.5 years though; on and off)

so that said

i'll buy gta5 =)

That is very underwhelming. I could forgive the mediocre graphics if there had been something interesting gameplay wise.

Granted Saints Row 3 fits my style of playing games like these (crazy s#!^) more, but this is just very meh to me. I was expecting it to be like a modern L.A. Noire where you're a criminal. This just looks like some amateur made trailer for GTA San Andreas with some graphics mods.

I'll buy it if they cut the frequency of "hey let's hang out!" calls from my low-life friends by 75%.

I mean in-game low-life friends.

They should have learned their lesson from Dead Rising and Legend of Zelda. Don't include annoying people who try to contact you all the time! Hey! Hey! Hey Listen!

I'm only interested if it comes with local co-op (at the very least split screen). GTA IV was great fun when you ran around and did shit with friends, but each player needing their own console was just too much.

GTA needs to go back to it's Sandbox, get missions when you want to style of gameplay. Even if they stick to the storylined gameplay they should add a mode where you just go in and do whatever you want without any hassle from phones/tablets/pda's unless you explicitly turn them on (GTA 4 = on by default).

Indeed. I loved jacking a Cab in San Andreas and just picking up Fares without needing to Call anyone. Driving a Cab in IV was a PITA.
