Grand Theft Auto 2 Compatibility issue

I just bought the Grand Theft Auto 2 game from CompUSA. However, after installing the software on my computer, I keep getting the message that it has: "KNOWN COMPATIBILITY ISSUES WITH THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS". Then once I ignore that warning, windows
cannot start the game, and instead wants to generate the error report for the application to be sent to Microsoft.

I have Windows XP installed on my P4 2.66Gz computer. My video card is Radeon Aill in Wonder 8500 with 128MB DDRam.

Can you suggest a solution?
 
It's probably due to XP using the NT5 kernel. Try right clicking on the .exe and using Win 98 or 95 compatability mode.
