I bought GT4 this morning and I have to say its more of the same, stupid licence times but easy wins in the races. Why do they make the licences a pain if they leave the races so simple to win?

Just my rant as I'm piss that I can't get the S.

I got all the way to the Super License but haven't completed all of those races yet. Some of them are pretty tough.

I actually thought the difficulty ramped up a lot after you get about 25% of the way in. I was racing through the cup races and then got to one where it was full on race cars (like GT1 class), and they were much more difficult than before.

GT4 has turned me off of the series. I didn't find it to be fun anymore. Forza wasn't any better (it had its good points and its bad points, but just wasn't really fun either).

That's funny. I just did about half of the S tests during my lunch break about 30 minutes ago. Some of them are tough, but overall it's much easier than GT3. I can pass about 80% of the tests on the first try.

I know the race your talking about (pissed me off for a while) but there a dirt track thats really easy and its like $250,000 + (after selling the prize car). You can get an F1 car in no time.

I dont know this is pretty off topic since its nothing related to PC's so heres good.

this isn't related to software, apps, and GAMES?

I like to keep the software forum clean of Xbox and PS crap. this is a PC forum after all.

Yeah, thats what I ended up doing is beating most of the Rally stuff (and then repeating to gain money). The races are pretty quick and easy, and you get about 50K in prize money, and then you get a car you can sell for about 150-300K.

I can't remember if I even bothered with getting all the licenses.

GT2 is the best in the series in my opinion. The original kinda came out of nowhere on me (I remember seeing the ads where there was a camaro with a car cover on it and it had the GT logo, but no screenshots or anything). I rented it and became hooked. The third one cut the content back way too much in my opinion. It was pretty fun, but couldn't top the second one.

GT1 was awesome when it came out, but sucks now. GT3 just blew totally. GT2 and GT4 are the only ones worth playing. LOL I guess I'll stay away from odd numbered GT's.

Licenses aren't so hard. Wait until some of the harder races, like the last series in the proffesional hall. Those races are a huge PITA to win, because you have to (well, you don't, but I didn't have anything better) race it with a car that isn't as good. You basically had to have a perfect race to win, which was really hard with longer races like those.

That also unlocks the extreme hall - you'll find even harder series in there.

None of the series that don't had GT1 class or formula cars are that hard because you can always just have a faster car than everyone else. When you have a slower car, or an equal car, the races get hard.
