So help me understand this. The game is the exact same game as the one on the PS2 but at a better resolution. The PS2 gives you everything on the disc when you plunk down your $50 but the PS3 version will require you to based on what you want to use?

I'm confused or this idea is really stupid because it makes no sense to me.

I think it's a novel way to do it, because it gives the developer incentive to keep the game from being stagnant. They can continually develop more tracks to give the game more replay value.

i used around 30-50 cars easily when i played gt3 and gt4. i had all kinds of modified cars that i played around with in open sessions. i hate sony for being so greedy.

Yeah, their nickle and diming customers are getting ridiculous. It's the same thing with their MMOs.

you get the complete game, but there will be updates... expansion packs you might call it for when new cars come out........

That makes more sense assuming the game holds all the same material as the PS2 version when it is launched and you are not paying two premiums (PS3 game cost + content cost) because you bought the PS3 version.

I reallyd on't see GTHD coming in like this at all. Sure they will offer premium stuff online with purchases etc but not have nothing or a very cut down version and let people buy the rest.

The game will be nothing amazingly new. It will be updated like the previous GT games. A few new cars, new tracks and better graphics. What more do you want? The game is already good. The lacklustre low res graphics is showing it's age but it is a driving game. 4 player split screen? Online play?
