In the following sentences, the underline and bolded words might be incorrect. You are to correct them if you find any mistake.

Anthropologists assert that many of the early American Plains Indians did not engage in planting crops but to hunt, living primarily on buffalo meat.

The neutron bomb provides the capable of limited nuclear war in which buildings would be preserved, but people would be destroyed

You cannot rephrase the sentence, but to change the word.

For the first one I don't see any mistake there, if there any.
As for the second one, I can't tell there's mistake either.

Any one?

Thanks.

Here are two more I am not sure of.

If biennials were planted this year, they will be likely to bloom next year.

The value of the dollar declines as the rate of infation raises.

Well if you wrote that, I can see how you can't find anything wrong with the two sentences.

First sentence: tense changes. Second sentence: capable is supposed to be capability.

I would replace the first sentence stuff with EXCEPT TO HUNT, WHILE LIVING PRIMARILY.

The second sentence should be:

CAPABILITY, LIMITING, SO THAT, CAN BE PRESERVED.

There's really no one way though..is this part of a multiple choice thing? Can you give choices?

Second one:

If biennials were planted this year, they are likely to bloom next year.

The value of the dollar declines as the rate of infation rises (increases would sound better but rises would be "less" of a modification.
