my wife's doing a wedding slide show for a friend. Here's the ending sentence that doesn't sound quite right to me: Thank you so much for coming to share our happiness

any suggestion?

The way to do it is KISS, keep it simple stupid. In this case, she should just write "kthnxbye."

BTW OP, I don't believe there is really anything actually wrong with the sentence, but it does seem a bit awkward. I'd just leave it alone or rewrite it completely if necessary.
