Is "I am contented." as a sentence grammatically correct?

I say no based on the thinking that you can have a contented smile on your face or you can be contented with something. Those are the only times I think contented works. Am I wrong?

It's "I am content"

While I'm not absolutely certain, I believe one is an adjective and the other an adverb.

It doesn't matter which form you use. They're both adjectives and both correct.
