Hello.
I have a Logitech QuickCam Web. It's about 6 years old, and I didn't use it for a while until now, when I had to dust it off for a new task.
I remember when I used it in the past the video was more or less fine.. For a cheapo webcam off course. But now the recorded video quality is abysmal! It's is very "noisy" and grainy. It is as if someone poured a mixture or red and blue sand all over the picture.
Can this be fixed? Do you think my settings are wrong? Driver is screwed up, or something happened to the camera? I keep my things in order and I never dropped the camera, so I cant see how I could have broken it. Any help is appreciated.
Oh, almost forgot.. for video recording I used Logitech's Software and Nero Video - both gave terrible results.
PS:
Also can someone please recommend a "grain free" WebCam with decent low light performance for under $90? I see the Logitech 9000 with Carl Zeiss lens got a lot of praise, but the price tag is way too high for me. I don't need quality on par with my $700 DV Camera - I only need clean video. 😉
