grafix card dropping its size?

i have a NVIDIA 8400GS and when i put it in my older comp it registers as a 6100? any ideas thoughts of why this is or how to fix this all ready tryed the simple as of adding my card specifications on the website but sead wrong driver then i did the automated:hmm: crap and it worked but now it says its a 6100 any one have this happen before?:ninja:
 
I think that your card is one of those "fake" 8400s, with a doctored BIOS. Most likely a real 6200LE.

Edit: did you buy it on ebay?
