Is it worth going? If decided to go, is it worth quitting your job and going full time? Or is it more feasible to go part-time? What about the school? Good school or any old school? Just want to hear the personal experience from people who has been through it. Thanks!

Any old school. It really depend how much you want to learn at the graduate level. Fulltime or Part-time? Really depend on your situation, but my recommendation is part-time. Nothing cramps your lives style as much as no stead income. ;)

Personally I'm a 2nd year, but I've already begun thinking about grad schools and my thought is that it really depends on the type of person you are and what major/industry you're in. If you absolutely hated school...you might rethink this. Also you should look at the added value the degree will give you and determine whether it's worth it. (and also Master's are a heck of a lot easier to obtain than Phd's) And obviously shoot for the best school possible...why not? Just my $.02 =)

BruinEd:
I really enjoyed school the first time around but I don't know if I can handle going to work full-time and studying part-time. I am very anal and am a perfectionist in many ways. I am afraid that I might over-extend myself. I guess one way to find out is to actually do it and see if it kills me. I want to go to the Northwestern MBA program (in Chicago -- where I live right now).

Thanks for the advice.

depends on your field...mine is biology...without the MS or PhD most people either get out of the field or work as underpaid technicians..from my personal observations...also for advanced degrees in my field the professor you study under means more than the school you attend, as your reputation is linked more closely to him and his network of peers than to any one university...as for part time or full time..really depends on your station in life at the present...married, single, got lots of outstanding debt or bills?...all that jazz..just my 2 cents

update: forgot to mention...best people to ask about this are your professors that work in the field you are considering for study.

It totally depends on the person. I'm getting a terminal degree, and for me, there's no other way to go. For some others, OTOH, a higher degree would be pointless.
No one can really answer this question for you. It's like asking if going into the military is a good idea. It's totally individual.,
