arm chair everyone is an expert. In the midst of a very rapidly evolving situation, quick action is often better than a perfect decision made too late.

How does Cuomo get a B-, Trump get a B, and Pence an A- in your book? Brix gets an A but Fauci A-? Dems get a D and repubs get a C?

Obviously I disagree but I'm curious as to your rationale

Enough said in this forum. Only reason not an F is he finally do something.
So like the rich kid who's daddy called the school and demanded he be given a make-up exam because he was distracted for the first test, and manages a barely passing mark?

He earned and F, and it should stick.

It’s interesting that you say quick action is often better than a perfect decision as your grading says the exact opposite.

Democrats get a lower grade than the Florida Governor who only a couple of days ago ordered a shut down vs California’s shut down well before the others, meanwhile democrats are trying to ready a phase 4 response while republicans are explicitly saying no.

What a fucking hack!

Black is white and up is down, facts are lies and the truth is what ever he feels it is. So obviously his grades are based on the bizarro reality he lives in.

We were not prepared for this. We all failed.

Also, I find it pretty sickening how damage control (or trolling) is in full force over this. 100,000 deaths are 'a very good job', but 12,000 deaths are grounds for imprisonment...

well you see they haven't died yet. and once they do, there will be some other excuse.

President Donald Trump - B-
His style is divisive but I also kind of get his desire to put a positive spin
Let's just deal with this one. I've heard 2 phrases you describe as to Trump's performance
"very good job"
"positive spin"

Our front line medical workers are fighting this virus, working to save people. A lot of them are working without proper equipment and PPEs. They are risking their own contamination and their families. They are getting sick. Some of them dying. So how does our fearless leader treat them?

He calls them, whiners, complainers and liars. He insinuates they are stealing PPEs and medical equipment.

How is that positive?
How is that doing a good job?

Would a competent leader treat our medical workers in this way?

As one whining theiving nurse working at Bronx Hospital put it...
“I feel like we’re being sent to slaughter,”

I assume you are referring to the 100,000 death thread. If that is the body count, we would be quite fortunate, and would indicate a degree of competency given the worst case projections.

Trump has put a positive spin on the pandemic.

I have family members who are on those front lines in NY at the moment. They don’t share your opinion. Governor Cuomo cited theft of medical supplies as well.

By not sharing my opinion you mean Trump didn't call them those things? Because he did. Show me a link where Cuomo accused hospital workers of stealing medical equipment. I don't don't mean a few masks walking home with workers or saving them for themselves because they don't have enough to protect themselves. I mean wholesale theft of large amounts of equipment

Trump accuses hospital workers of stealing and reselling equipment. Tell your friends they are misinformed.

Pence was doing such a good job that trump replaced him with his son in law, kushner. This makes number 4 for this position in less than two months.

That's because Jared is almost as much of a genius as our God-Emporer is.

Truth is.... Gov Andrew Cuomo is telling it like it is.
Cuomo is reporting from the battle field.
Cuomo is telling only the facts as ""HE"" personally experiences only the facts.
Trump can sugar coat his failed leadership all that Trump wants to, but Cuomo speaks only the truth.
My niece, an RN in a state with fairly low exposure and a state where the damn republican governor STILL refuses to order a stay-at-home order, my niece tells of the lack of supplies and lack of PPE. She has been wearing the very same mask for nearly a week now.
My niece tells the true story, not the Donald Trump Bull-Shet.
What my niece claims is exactly in line with what Cuomo claims.

Letter grades. Listed in alphabetical order to make unbiased. Grade as of Wed April 1 2020
Dr. Deborah Brix D (She's that clownish older lady always absurdly overdressed to impress her girl friends when Trump ambles up the the stage for his daily blathering?)

NY Gov Andrew Cuomo B (should have sheltered NYC folks 2 days earlier)

FL Gov Ron DeSantis D- (blew it bigtime leaving beaches/business open so long)

Dr. Anthony Fauci B- (Should have come out bigtime to have CV czar appointed, not him, actually)

CA Gov Gavin Newsom A (his news conferences and actions have been pretty good)

Vice President Mike Pence F (complete sell out and moron, impersonates a stone statue really well most of the time. At his worst when he opens his mouth)

Congressional Republicans D (what can you expect from sell-outs?)

President Donald Trump F- (hard to imagine anyone doing worse, what a fucktard!)

Some ... However, Cuomo's a Democrat, so is Newsom. The others I don't know enough about with regard to this to state an opinion. I made no grade for "Congressional Democrats" because I don't have a view. If you want a guess, I'd say at least a B based on my experience of how they've been handling this mis-administration.

Inslee should get a lot of credit, did a great job from the start, acting early and listening to the science.

Cuomo gets good grades for his later response, but it's fairly likely such a 'heroic' response wouldn't have been necessary had he taken necessary measures sooner and yes, he had sufficient info to act sooner.

Northeastern and mid-Atlantic Republican governors did a good job, mostly because to get elected as a Republican in those states you can't be insane like they are in the rest of the country. Good job by Hogan and Baker.

Trump, Congressional Republicans, and southern Republican governors all get Ds and Fs. Trump especially gets an F- for actively attempting to make the pandemic worse.

Anyone want to update their vote??
The NYT has a great infographic that shows pretty clearly the missed opportunities to contain. Travel ban with China was helpful but also a bit late. No domestic travel bans around hot spots like NY and Seattle allowed it to spread.

Social distancing and masks work. Young people and conservatives are ignoring these guidelines and continue to drive the spread.
