It's almost April and it's time when grad schools are sending out notices. I applied to 4 schools:

UCLA - waitlisted
Berkeley - no reply
USC - accepted
UCI - accepted

anyone have experience with being waitlisted? any advice on what to do? i'll plead and beg them if i have to

For those who are worried about grades, i had a god aweful GPA, so don't let that deter you from applying.

For Musicology:
Mills College - Accepted
UCSD - Accepted, Full Ride
UCLA - Rejected, because of UCSD's decision

I will be attending UCSD. No tuition plus a salary makes for a pretty sweet gig.

Yea, how bad was your GPA and from what school? I guess if you went to a top-tier school but had a poor GPA you might be treated better than a poor GPA from a lower tier school.

I got a 3.01 undergrad from UCLA. That is far from a competitive GPA.

Wow, Harvard Law, gopunk...congrats.
