Are there some serious mods that boost the visuals/gameplay, etc?

Because $5 still seems like rip off. Unless you don't have a 360 or PS3, Madden 11 is UNDER $5, with vastly improved modeling, physics, AI tweaks, and presentation.

The problem is, 08 is the last PC version that was made.

Everything since then has been PS/XBox.
