edit: I meant to put a blah face but realized there were none. :\

these cdrs are good.. the GQ brand cdrs are pretty reliable with me.. ive been using them for 5 years.. back wen i had a btc 2x burner.. then my hp 8x burner.. and now a btc 32x burner.. this is hot deal.. 100 cdrs for 13 bucks.. and they have labels on em.. not just silver which gets all dirty with fingerprints.. and easily peel.. also with cakebox..

I haven't had coasters with these discs, but I'm a little unsure of how permanent they'll be. I can clearly see the writing with a sharpie through the underside of the disc. I'm sticking with TDKs (w/ costco rebate, 1 cent more per disc) from now on, as I just don't feel comfortable using these. And anyway, what kind of impression does it make if you make someone a CD using a "Great Quality" CDR? I'm not the type to make a paper label, so I'd rather have a CDR from a known manufacturer that dosen't have such an ugly label.
Here's their CDRID info:
ATIP: 97m 26s 56f
Disc Manufacturer: Lead Data Inc.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

i'm using GQ 24X on my new cendyne 32X burner, but my writer can only burn at 24X(4:11 i think) these cds are pretty good IMO, at least they don't look cheap

thats the good thing about these.. no rebates needed.. im not a rebate person.. and im sure a lot of people arent.. because sometimes they take too long or sometimes dont even show up.. i can surely tell u these discs are reliable.. as ive been using these since ive known they were released.. wen they had a gold top and green writing label.. its a good impression if they see it says great quality.. hahahaha cause thats wat it is.. hah you think the GQ has ugly label? better than those other cdr deals with no label that cost more.. the GQ labels imo are good. sometimes better than brand names one.. but again beat the price..

just like to confirm this deal in the san jose bay area fry's store..

it was advertised in the friday paper as $7.00 for 50.. however at the store it rings up as $6.50

they have 2 kinds.. the 32x and 40x certified.. the 32x has a greenish writing surface.. while the 40x has the more silver writing surface..

I don't know about you guys but on my 32x GQ cd-rs I can see dye discolorations. On some I can see little dots on the dye. I just chose the best ones out of the spindle and gave the rest to my friend.

GC disks great quality ?! yea right. i can't burn these disks over 24x on my yamaha and plextor drives, and i can't even burn them till their capacity.

I bought 3 spindles (50) from Amazon.com for $7 a pop. The serial listed Kingston HyperMedia... or atleast i thought they did, i haven't had any succesfull burns with these. Now i only use them to burn audio CDs i wouldn't care about not working.

I think the life on these if about 7 years, the dye they use is very low quality and the disc themselves contain errors. I would stich to TDKs, Imations, and Kingston Hypermedia.

Weeks ago, there was a sale of 10 pieces of GQ silver/Blue blank CDR with slim case for $2.9.
Until m-day, I tried some. The quality is so good and there is no problem at all compared to previous troublesome GQ spindles I touched so far.
