I don't know if this applies to all the FRY's, but this add is specifically for thr Fremont, CA FRY's.

If these are the 8X, I looked at them in store yesterday. Pass. They are even cheaper looking then the 4X. The ones I saw already had blemishes on them new in the spindle.

I bought a couple of these, I'll report later after I try to use them.
 
I bought 2 packs of these last weekend (which was an ordeal in itself) and just tried to run DVD Identifier on the disks, but it won't even see that there's media present in the drive. I may be bringing these back.
 
Holey Crap these are CRAP!

Dvdinfo Pro shows them as ID 8x Write Speed 4x Available Write Speed 2x!
and they ID as TYG02! Taiyo Yudens for 1.75? No way!

OMG Fake Media, with forged codes , that can't even burn at 4x. These SUCK!

Absolutely under no circumstances buy GQ DVD blanks. I ended up buying two 50 packs and 94 of them were coasters, and this was on three different burners.
