have 3 680 in slot 1, slot 5, slot 7.

gup-z and hwinfo shows all 3 gpu. labeling are gpu 0, gpu 1, gpu 2.

how do one tell which physical gpu corresponds with which gpu labeling?

Check your NVidia control panel SLI configuration. In mine, GPU 1 is connected to the monitor. It might be GPU 0 in yours though, so you can use that as a reference and extrapolate for the other two.

running surround so each monitor is connect to each gpu. all the monitor are the same make too. so they are all the same labeling. does not help.

if there is no quick way. may have to unplug all monitor then connect one monitor to each gpu at a time to see which gpu is which.
