Noticed today my wife logged into my rig. Looks like the GPU workunits stopped processing until I logged back in. Anyone ran into this issue before? Been googling for some answers. It had Boinc set to auto start on her account & I disabled that just in case that was the issue. I noticed it said GPU missing waiting to run. Once I Logged in within about 20-30 seconds it picked back up.

Posted too soon. Think I might have found an answer.

"Under Windows 7, it will never be possible to continue GPU crunching uninterrupted while user switching: it's a Microsoft driver limitation - or security policy, if you prefer. The new versions of BOINC should handle it more gracefully, with a pause and recovery, rather than with the errors that were common previously."

Worth knowing, thx for the update :).

Yeah, It's been killing my production during the day. My wife is a stay at home mom. She gets on my desktop which is my primary rig for DC. She logs into her Windows Account & it makes BOINC go into a "missing gpu state" and kills my CPU workload too I believe. I'll come home at my CPU will be in the low 30s Celsius and I log back in projects resume. I'm going to have wife use my account from here on out.

The thing to do is buy your wife a computer of her own and then assimilate it.
