I just bought an nVidia Geforce 6800 GS ... and it idles around 40-43 C.... I was wondering... is this too hot for the gpu at idle? or is it normal...
Another question ... what temp. is considered as hot for a GPU?

Any Feedback would be greatly appreciated 🙂
 
My 6600GT idles at 43C and hits load at 63C. It used to hit 92C at load until I reset its heatsink (which are notoriouly loose on some 6600GTs).
 
My 6600GT idles at 43C and hits load at 54C. It used to hit 72C at load until I bought a Zalman FV700CU (which is notoriously good on all 6600GTs)
