GPU shipments grew 21.1% last quarter

No surprises here. AMD is recovering, Intel has the lion's share as usual and nV is losing some ground. Q4 will be very interesting, especially if nV finally manages to release Fermi.

Good news for the industry as a whole.
 
I just want to see this country recover. Hell, the whole world. Not just the tech industry. It's a good sign though to see ANYTHING rise. A nice refreshing change from th e seemingly endless fall we've be going through.

Looks like lots of intel gains were a result of nothing but intel chipsets and nothing worth buying but intel when it comes to cpus.

Maybe the some of the discret graphics gains in the last quarter were that it is impossible to get onboard graphics with an i5 750 (at least at ncix). Even a cheapie like me to buy a 4650 for my daughter.
 
intel is choking both AMD and nvidia with their integrated $5 solution

it makes no sense to put intel in same category as AMD and nvidia as they don't have graphic chip that costs more than $5 a piece
