GPU purchasing advice

2nd post is hard to quote and i dont really want to create a new thread for this but yeah follow the rules.

System Specifications:sig
Display Resolution:1920x1080 is good enough for me
Power Supply Unit Specification:link

Purchase Details:around 400-500$
Any particular preference/brand:none

Additional Notes:

right now i only play dirt 3,nfs shift 2 and skyrim i can still play them well but only at 1280x1024 :'( i plan to upgrade last march but got fired lol.i just started on my new job last week and im planning to purchase a gpu next month for newer games to come,i rarely change gpu about 2-3years.not a fps freak stable 60fps is fine w/ me.i may add use 2 23" display but never 3.thanks in advance.:D

For that res nothing higher than a 7950. I'd wait and see if we are going to see the 670 in a few days. It might be better for you, and/or it might make AMD cards come down in price.

I don't follow rumors or news that much, but what do you mean a few days? I'm saving the pennies for a 7950 myself and would love it if the price came down or if a 670 came with better specs for the same price. I'm a couple of months away from having the money

I say go for 7850 and oc it for 580+ performance. Change after 1-1.5 years, will be better that way

$500 you say? GTX 680 no brainer.

ill be stuck w/ it for a few years so yeah 680 would be great,ill post again here on this thread w/c gpu i went w/.thanks for all your replies :D
