Hey Guys
I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of a Dell 2711 which will make the third 27" monitor on my system. The AMD card I have will run the three monitors in eyefinity mode but I fear not very well so I am looking for an upgrade. My other monitors are 1920x1200 so 5760x1200 would be the max resolution for the AMD Eyefinity or nvidia Surround setup. So is there a sub $200 card that would run this as I have blown most of my budget on the monitor or should I save my pennies for a few more months? Unless I do a new system Im stuck with PCIe 2.0 are the 3.0 cards backward compatible? Long time follower of Anandtech but first time forum poster. Thanks for the assistance.
Henry

1. For that budget 7850's.

2. I have the 7850 HIS IceQ and love it. Very low noise.

3. I would not recommend CF anything other than the 79xx series. It is a waste of money which can be put towards a higher end GPU. If you purchase a 78xx series, I would not recommend CF, but saving up for the 8xxx series.

4. I believe the 7850's perform better. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/549?vs=680

5. I think if you're not looking for any high settings, you should be fine. My 7850 play COD decently, WOW is not too taxing, and have no clue about rise of flight.

6. OC GPU's is simple. I would suggest looking into it. Then again any GPU these days can be OC.
