GPU pcb capacitor broken

Hi,

While cleaning the back of my gpu, I accidentally got my cloth stuck on some rectangular black capacitor and it broke it.

The card is a Saphire R7 260x.

Now I don't know if the card still work, I want to plug and test it but i'm afraid it might short out and damage something in my PC.

I don't have the tools or the skills to solder it back on, so I really want to make sure the card is broken before sending it to a shop.

Is there a risk If I test the card on my PC? Also the current GPU is an nvidia one, will the drivers conflict?

thats not a capacitor, it's a 5 pin integrated circuit. who knows what it's for, maybe a opamp, dual transistor, etc. maybe its there for current sensing, temperature sensing, turning a fan on or off, etc.

if you still want to try using, make sure the pads are not shorted to one another

Thats a IC for sure, i would source another one if you lost the original and solder it back on if it was me. Or if you still have it then just solder it back on.
