Question GPU not showing up in task manager?

Why?

The monitor is plugged in the AMD HD 8470 HDMI port, not on board Intel iGPU 4600

System: Windows 10

Maybe the built-in driver for the HD(?)8470 is so old, that it doesn't support the Task Manager API calls / hooks for reporting GPU usage.

Also, I see references to VMWare, if this is a VM, then yeah...

Never heard of this before, but it could be a possibility.

No, it's the main PC. Not VM.

I plugged in 2nd monitor to on board INTEL iGPU port and the task manager still wouldn't show AMD GPU info.

I sometimes have the same question when I look at Task Manager in modern Windows and it lacks the performance graphs for the HDD/SSD/storage. Perhaps it is the same answer?
