GPU not receiveing enough power and USB not working...

I've been having several problems with my comp lately but I think I've narrowed down the possiblities. Lately I've been having system hangs so I lowered the OC on my GPU to stock levels and the problem went away. Everything was fine for a few days but now after a reboot I got a message about the GPU not receiving enough power and none of my USB ports work. Given all this I figure my PSU or Mobo is going bad. What do you guys think?

Nothing is OC'ed at the moment and I've reinstalled Windows XP twice.

Opteron 165

DFI LanParty UT SLI-DR
Sunbeam 550W PSU

All this is shooting from the hip.

DFI boards need high +5VSB output, 3.0A or more. Your PSU has 2.5A on the +5VSB when new and it's output may have fallen off a bit.
The DFI BIOS maybe set to feed the USB 5V from the +5VSB, this is NOT a good thing. Have the BIOS feed the USB from the 5V rail if it is not already.

Consider looking into the forums at http://global.dficlub.com/

Interesting theory. Thank you. I looked in the BIOS but didn't see an option for adjusting which rail feeds the USB.

Truth be told this PSU has been nothing but trouble since the day I bought it. Plus it's about 16 months old so maybe it's time for a new one.
