GPU not detected and fans running at 100%

I was playing GTA V last night and out of nowhere my monitors went black(specs at the bottom of the post)
I thought my computer had some weird freeze so I pressed the power button and it shut down
I pressed it again and my monitors wouldn't come up and the case fans sound like they're running at 100% speed
I could however hear the sounds it makes when you boot up windows.
So I opened up my case and took a quick look. Nothing looked out of the ordinary so I tried reseating and replugging everything to see if that was the problem. But it didn't change anything.
I unplugged one of the monitors and plugged it into the onboard video and it works just fine.
I tried checked to see if windows can see the graphics card at all, but it doesn't appear to.
The weird thing is that when I start up the computer, the fans on the graphics card does spin
As far as I can tell, this came out of nowhere, I didn't notice any warning signs before hand.

I forgot the exact model. I think it's a tx650 corsair. The first version I think.

sounds like video card went out or psu can no longer handle the power requirements for your video card.

Try out a different video card with the same power req to see if its your psu or try out your old card in a diff pc

That is about what happens when a video card goes south for me. And getting output from the onboard video seems to prove that's all it is.

If you wanted to test anything else, plug the video card into one of the other PCI-Express slots. Don't forget the power connector.

I tried putting it in my second PCIe slot but video wouldn't come up. I went through onboard video again and when I started up windows I did get a windows notification that it recognized a device in the PCIe slot.
Do I have to manually disable the main PCIe, or enable the secondary slot?

what video card are you running?

It's a MSI GTX 780. I got it about a year and a half ago around Black Friday time

My board has some selections for configuring the pci-express slots. I looked through your manual and did not see anything mentioned, so they are most-likely always live.

Too bad the card had such a short life, but it happens.

I was caught by surprise because it happened so suddenly.
I think I'll RMA it and see what comes out.
Too bad it couldn't waited til the 390 came out
