I. Processor/CPU: 2500k
II. Current Graphics Card: new system
III. Display Resolution: 1920*1080
IV. Power Supply Unit Specifications: any single GPU card
V. Case Specifications: any single GPU card -- no water cooling

Purchase Details:

I.
Budget?
low $200s

II.
Any particular preferences:
I think triple-slot coolers are stupid

III. Do you plan to have any Multi-GPU solutions such as Crossfire or SLI?
single cards only

IV. Have you previously looked at a product(s) which you feel would fit your needs?

looked at 6870, 560 Ti, 560 Ti 448, and 6950
latter two are mostly out of my budget -- 6950s went UP in price recently?!
best candidate so far is:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125363

V. What are your needs for this GPU? Which games(If any)do you intend to play? If you have this information at hand, what are the desired detail levels?

ideally:
Skyrim maxed, with high quality textures, AA, and post-processing injectors
Human Revolution with AA, post-processing injectors
Witcher 2 maxed with AA but without ubersampling
various horrendously unoptimized console ports

VI. Do you plan on overclocking the card you intend to purchase?
maybe?

Additional Notes

new cards only -- Newegg or NCIX US
planning to buy today or relatively soon
don't care about multi-monitor, Linux support, compute, or physX
noise is slightly important

and finally, my question is:

PLZ HALP ANANDTEK WAT GPU SHULD I BUY??///

6950's are going up in price because production on them has stopped. If you look NewEgg has no stock on the majority of the cards that they used to always have in stock. Until the 7870's get released here soon there is no other AMD card in that performance bracket.

Yup the days of the 1gb being enough i think are slowly going away especially with games like BF3 so Toyota suggested a good card.

Loaded up BF3 this evening on my 2gb gtx560 with almost max ultra settings but at 2x msaa and motion blur off and Caspian Border hit around 1250mb vram usage @ 1080p and right off the bat i lost interest in selling this card and getting a gtx570 and just decided its better just to sli this one.

Go with Toyota with his recommendation, think out of that list that one makes the most sense.
