Here's a very good review of the unit & software.
Zucchini: I got mine last night and played with it for a couple of hours. It seems pretty nice, but I found one problem with the software (applicable to me): I live in New Orleans, which seems to be on the line they used to divide the map data onto the 2 cds. So, if I go across town, I need to swap discs from Eastern US to Western US. I can load the city map onto my HD, but there's no option (that I can find) to load all the map data for the entire US onto my HD, which is what I want to do (less CDs to carry on a trip is better). So, I installed MS Streets & Trips 2001 (which I love) with all the map data on my HD. The GPS receiver works like a charm with it. As a matter of fact, the receiver is very good for the price. It looks kind of cheap, but I even got reception with it in my home (near a window), whereas my roomate's old Magellan handheld and my eMap from work wont get satellite reception unless I go outside and move around for awhile.
Also, my OD had tickets for the unit stuck on the side of a "OD Travel Center"...this little aisle-end with RandMcNally Maps and Software. The tickets for the GPS+Software were just stuck to the side of it, unlabeled. Took me forever to notice it, but I found em!
