I am thinking about setting up a GPS system with my PDA (sony clie PEG-N760C) for my car. How does one go about doing this? Also, is it possible to get voice commands (like "turn left in 100 feet") through a PDA?

I was looking at this website and was wondering if a GPS receiver is all I needed for it to work...

I have a tungsten t3 and picked up a digitraveler GPS receiver from radio shack (clearanced for $29.99).

It has a serial connection which connects to the bottom of my palm. I am using Mapopolis navigator for the software. I believe it is $99 for the software and includes all the maps for the US. There is a demo online which you can download (http://www.mapopolis.com). It has the voice prompts that you were looking for. Hope that helps a little...

thanks for the info! so do the voice prompts come from the GPS receiver, PDA, or the car speaker system? my pda has a output for headphones...but no speakers....

how do you like your setup? working well?
