GPO not running on some machines when logging in...

migrating from Novell to Win2k3 AD this weekend and 99% of the machines went without problems.

However I have a small handful that are simply not running any GPO's when logging into the domain (yes they are int he proper groups).

The event log error is:

Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO The file must be present at the location <>. (). Group Policy processing aborted.

I can't really figure out what is going on here. Any advise would be appreciated.

Is it possible that those workstations have their dns set so that they are not looking to a DC running DNS? I've run into it a couple of times where someone manually put a different DNS
in and caused all sorts of odd behavior on that workstation.
