i've got a slightly annoying issue with a gpo for server 2003 running AD
I've got a domain policy setup to include a banner upon pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.
the problem I am having is that the same banner was cutoff when i setup the Server before AD was installed.
Local Policy>Security Options> warning text
I have created a GPO for the Domain with the same warning text but inputted correctly via GPMC. I set the GPO as the first link and enforce it then exit out of the console.
I turn on the workstation, but the old banner pops up with the incomplete text.
I go back to GPMC on the server and look at the domain policy and lo and behold the text is the same as the local computer policy with the incomplete text.
I've tried to make changes to the local computer policy on the domain controller, but it will not let me make changes as it is greyed out. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
i have domain and enterprise privies, and even with those credentials the text defaults back to the incomplete text.
i've created and linked brand new GPO'd and still get the same issue.
i'm a bit under the gun as these machines are to be looked at for an SSP tomorrow so i've got to fix this tonight.
thanks!
