I know my password but lost my secret key. Last time this happened, I created new keys successfully because I had all the data of the original (user ID, etc), but now all I have this time around is my password. Is there anyway for me to recover my encrypted data somehow if I know the encryption settings I chose and my password only? Thanks in advance.

No secret pass = sh1t outta luck 🙁 Although your public key is uploaded to pgp key server (if you choose to do that...I dont) the private key doesnt leave. Creating a new key wont help either because it is...well...a new key.

You didnt indicate HOW the key got lost...deleted by accident? You could try a data recovery software to scan whatever drive it was on to retrieve it. This goes to show the importance of backing up your keyring.

And no. There is no way to decrypt PGP. Thats the point of it, no?
